LENGTH OF LESSONS:
Classes are usually one hour once per week, but can be as long and as often as you’d like. I recommend no longer than 1 hour for children under 10 to ensure they can focus and enjoy the entire lesson.
I will come to your home for class.
All we need is good light and a sturdy table in a quiet location, with access to a sink. I provide materials!
SCHEDULING & TARDINESS:
I always plan to arrive a few minutes before our scheduled time and factor in LA traffic conditions. On the rare occasion that complications arise, I will call to let you know I’m running late and offer the option to reschedule.
Classes can be canceled or moved to another day/time with a minimum of 24 hours notice.
If a student cancels a class for any reason, barring illness, less than 24 hours before the lesson, I still require payment for that class. If a class must be canceled because of illness, I will work with the student/parents to reschedule the lesson.
If a class is scheduled and I show up but the student has forgotten, whether or not we are able to have it that day, I still require payment for that scheduled class. I will wait 15 minutes maximum at your home if you are not there when scheduled. After 15 minutes, I will leave and you will be billed for that lesson.
PAYMENT & RATES:
Private Lessons are priced at the hourly rate of $60 per hour for one student. You may have up to 4 students in the lesson at the additional rate of $10 per student per hour. Parent & Me lessons count as 1 student per parent/toddler pair.
|1 Hour Lesson||2 Hour Lesson|
For group lessons, students must be within a 3-year age range or must all be adults (over 18).
Make checks payable to Rebecca Potts. Cash may be paid in person with exact change only. You can also pay via paypal here.
I offer a limited number of need-based scholarships for students who would otherwise not be able to take lessons. Scholarships are made possible by generous donations and are available on a limited and first-come first-served basis. Both full and partial scholarships are available. Full scholarships provide lessons for no fee. Partial scholarships provide a discount of 50%, 30% or 10% depending on the student’s level of need. To apply for a scholarship, fill out the form here.
Consider making a donation to provide scholarships to students in need. As I am not a 501(c)3 non-profit, donations are unfortunately not tax deductible.
